Old Ma’s tea room for a drink and cake throughout the event, as well as The Red Lion and Golden Lion who both have great food offerings over the weekend and at the Squire’s Paddock you will find vintage food trucks and an ice cream seller. 

Is there an ATM in the Village?

How to get to Southwick?

Via Car: All tickets come with free parking, the best postcode to use is PO17 6EB. However on arrival to the village please keep an eye out for our car parking signs.

Via Train: Havant station on the main London to Portsmouth line, or Fareham on the Southampton to Portsmouth line are the closest with a taxi rank.

What is the D-Day Map Room?

The D-Day Map Room is the historic room inside Southwick House Map Room where Allied commanders planned and coordinated the Normandy Landings. It is the very space where final decisions were made in the days leading up to D-Day and where the invasion timetable was monitored as events unfolded.

What is the Place Woods Experience?

The Place Woods Experience is a self-guided visit to a historic woodland setting that forms part of the wider Southwick Revival story. During the Second World War, Place Woods was used as a dispersed military area connected to the planning and preparation for D-Day. Today, it offers an atmospheric outdoor experience that complements the main village event.

Accessibility, Disabled Parking & Carer Tickets

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all visitors requesting disabled parking, accessibility support, or carer tickets for Southwick Revival and its associated experiences.


1. Disabled Parking

  1. Disabled parking spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  2. A valid Blue Badge must be displayed at all times when using disabled parking.

  3. Possession of a Blue Badge does not guarantee a parking space.

  4. Disabled parking locations may vary depending on event layout, traffic management, and safety requirements.

  5. Stewards’ instructions must be followed at all times.


2. Accessibility of Experiences

Southwick Revival takes place across a historic village, woodland, and military sites, some of which have unavoidable access limitations.

General Entry & Village Event

  • Takes place on mixed terrain including roads, grass, and uneven surfaces.

  • Mobility scooters and wheelchairs may be used in the village areas, but access may be limited in crowded conditions.

Place Woods Experience

  • Located in natural woodland.

  • Uneven ground and natural paths are present.

  • Not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

D-Day Map Room

  • Located inside a historic building.

  • Accessibility is limited due to the nature of the site.

  • Wheelchair access is restricted.

  • Mobility scooters cannot be accommodated.

Fort Southwick Tunnels Experience

  • Not accessible for wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

  • Involves 168 steps, uneven ground, and an underground environment with no natural light.

  • Attendees must be in good health.

By booking tickets, visitors acknowledge these limitations and accept responsibility for assessing whether an experience is suitable for their individual needs.


3. Carer Tickets – General Entry

  1. One free carer ticket is available per eligible visitor for General Entry only.

  2. To request a carer ticket in advance, please email us with:

    • Proof of General Entry ticket purchase

    • Proof of registered carer status (e.g. DWP documentation, Carer’s Allowance letter, or equivalent)

    • A brief outline of any specific access requirements

  3. Once approved, a carer ticket will be issued.

  4. If you are unable to contact us in advance, you may bring:

    • Proof of ticket purchase

    • Proof of registered carer status

    • Valid photo ID
      Staff will assist you on the day where possible.


4. Carer Tickets & Paid Experiences (Map Room, Tunnels, etc.)

  1. All experience tickets include General Entry.

  2. Due to strict capacity limits, experience tickets are charged per person, including carers.

  3. If you require a carer to accompany you on a paid experience:

    • Please purchase your experience ticket as normal.

    • After purchase, contact us by email with:

      • Your ticket information

      • Proof of registered carer status

  4. Upon verification, we will refund the cost of one General Entry ticket (included within the experience ticket).

  5. Experience ticket costs themselves are non-refundable and remain payable for all attendees, including carers.


5. Proof of Eligibility

Accepted proof may include (but is not limited to):

  • DWP Carer’s Allowance documentation

  • Official local authority confirmation

  • Other recognised evidence of registered carer status

We reserve the right to refuse free or refunded carer tickets if adequate proof is not provided.


6. On-the-Day Support

  • If you have not contacted us in advance, please speak to a steward or staff member on arrival.

  • Assistance will be provided where possible, but advance contact is strongly recommended to avoid delays or disappointment.


7. General Conditions

  • All tickets are issued subject to availability.

  • Southwick Revival reserves the right to amend accessibility arrangements where required for safety or operational reasons.

  • Decisions made by event staff on the day are final.
