What’s On at Southwick Revival 2026

Southwick Revival is a weekend packed with history, entertainment, and living history experiences for all ages. Across the village you’ll find military displays, historic vehicles, reenactors, live music, guest speakers, and interactive exhibits bringing the story of D-Day and the Second World War to life.

Explore the different zones, meet historians and reenactors, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of wartime Britain as we remember the events that shaped history.

Event Marquee

This year’s programme features a standout lineup of speakers and performers bringing the story of D-Day to life.

Rt Hon Dame Penny Mordaunt leads the talks on Saturday, joined by historian and broadcaster Adam Hart.

On Sunday, Paul Beaver offers expert military insight, while Vicki Michelle MBE brings warmth, humour and a strong connection to the armed forces community.

Across both days, the Portsmouth Military Wives Choir deliver powerful live performances in the Event Marquee.

All sessions are included with day admission, with our event host guiding the programme throughout the weekend.

Place Woods

Step into the build-up to D-Day within this immersive woodland camp, where British forces preparing for Operation Overlord are brought to life.

Explore authentic tents, equipment and displays, meet knowledgeable reenactors, and experience the atmosphere of those crucial days before the Normandy landings.

Military Vehicle Display

Step back in time and experience the sights and sounds of history with the Southwick D-Day Revival’s Military Vehicle Motorcade & Display.

Squires Paddock

Family-friendly and full of character, Squires Paddock offers a great mix of entertainment and activity, making it a must-visit part of your day at the Revival.

Here you’ll find field gun displays and competitions, alongside vintage fairground attractions and a selection of food and refreshment stalls. It’s a space full of movement and noise, where visitors can get involved, watch live demonstrations and enjoy a more hands-on side of the event.

The French Quarter

Step into a corner of occupied France at Southwick Revival 2026.
The French Quarter brings music, culture, and wartime atmosphere to life with traditional songs, performances, and activities throughout the weekend.

Enjoy authentic French wartime music, lively dance performances, and relaxed moments by the pétanque court as we celebrate the spirit of liberation and Franco-British friendship.

The Golden Lion Pub

Once serving as the Officers' Mess during the planning
of D-Day. Generals Eisenhower and Montgomery were often found here, making decisions that changed the course of history.

The pub retains its Tudor charm, with original fireplaces and historic memorabilia keep the spirit of the past alive, ensuring the legacy of June 1944 is never forgotten.

The Red Lion Pub

The Red Lion Southwick is a charming Grade II listed pub in the heart of this historic wartime village.

Rich in history, the pub once handed out free beer to troops heading to war and still raises a glass in their honor today. With a front terrace and a cozy courtyard garden, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a drink in the sunshine.
