Across the village you’ll find military displays, historic vehicles, reenactors, live music, guest speakers, and interactive exhibits bringing the story of D-Day and the Second World War to life.

History Walking Tours

Explore the historic village of Southwick, Hampshire, where the D-Day landings were meticulously planned. Our guided walking tours take you through the streets where Allied commanders made history, offering a fascinating glimpse into the past.

The Golden Lion Pub

Once serving as the Officers' Mess during the planning
of D-Day. Generals Eisenhower and Montgomery were often found here, making decisions that changed the course of history.

The pub retains its Tudor charm, with original fireplaces and historic memorabilia keep the spirit of the past alive, ensuring the legacy of June 1944 is never forgotten.

The Red Lion Pub

The Red Lion Southwick is a charming Grade II listed pub in the heart of this historic wartime village.
