Southwick Revival is a fantastically nostalgic event commemorating the D Day Landings. Featuring visits to the impressive Map Room at Southwick Park, visitors can indulge in the sights and smells of 1940’s England whilst wandering through the Squires Paddock filled with a vintage fun fair, refuel on home made cake from Ma Attwell’s tea room and marvel at the motorcade rumbling through the village!

Southwick Revival’s main focus is fundraising. And to date (2023) we are amazed to have generated £229,000!

DESCENDANTS OF THE SUPREME COMMANDERS

This June Southwick Revival is hosting a world first exclusive panel discussion in honour of the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The event will bring together descendants of the Supreme Commanders who led the Allied invasion of Normandy in 1944.

VIP guests include Susan Eisenhower, granddaughter of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Richard Tedder, son of Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Tedder, Viscount Henry Montgomery, grandson of General Sir Bernard Montgomery; and William Ramsay, grandson of Admiral Sir Bertram Ramsay. Joining them as Winston did in Southwick in 1944 is Churchill’s granddaughter, Emma Soames. https://southwickrevival.co.uk/talks-2/

OK, Let’s Go!

We are grateful to have the ongoing support of Southwick Park, Defence School of Policing and Guarding, and Southwick Estate to ensure the unique aspects of our weekend – the D-Day Map Room in Southwick House and the backdrop of the most Peculiar village!

Raising funds for SSAFA and other charities and funding improvements to village amenities, the Revival has gained a reputation as a quality event providing entertainment and education to several thousand visitors over the course of the weekend in early June. Over eight annual events from 2014 to 2023 an impressive total of £229,000 has been raised.
